Harvest Festival 2023

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our Harvest Festival this week. The display was full with a variety of food items which will be packed up and sent off to the local food bank at St Mary’s Church, Greenhithe. Each class contributed with songs, readings, drama, pictures and even some drumming from Year 5 pupils. Reverend Simeon gave a brief talk and used a doughnut with a hole in as a visual aid. He asked the children, would it be better to focus on the bit that was missing or the delicious doughy bit round the edge. He likened this to being thankful for the things we have rather than focusing on things we don’t. Several teachers commented that it was a ‘holy’ experience.  Several of our parent reps attended and agreed that the children’s contributions were wonderful.
